On Second Life, when do you get the money from filling out surveys?

I'm a newbie on Second Life and been working out ways to get money on the game so I found this place called Money Tree which pays for filling out surveys.

So, i've filled in a couple now and currently waiting on emails back but when do you get paid from them? Also, do I have to use the in-game browser or doesn't it matter?

If you need Lindens there are much better ways. The survey sites, if they are going to pay out, usually pay right away. If you are waiting on emails, odds are you are going to keep on waiting.

I suggest you take a look at our website. We have a whole section devoted to different ways you can make money in Second Life.

We also pay people for helping us build our website! All you have to do is submit a review of something cool in Second Life, and we pay you 500L when it is published!

Enjoy!

Reply:I'd recommend avoiding surveys entirely. They're primarily a way to scam newbies into wasting time filling them out, providing marketing feedback for 3rd-party companies, not to mention also a way of getting information from you--such as your email address. If anything, camping's a better method of earning lindens, and I don't recommend that, either... but it's still better than survey scams.

My recommendation is to either simply put your own money into your SL account (a little goes a long way as long as you don't waste it), or to find a job in SL. Gatorzilla's website, for example, is one he runs himself with his SL partner, and he pays folks to write reviews of places or events in SL; I would consider that to be a type of SL job. There are many other kinds, too... in-world photography, managing a club or store on behalf of the owners, being a DJ, playing live music via internet stream for in-world concerts, building/creating things (clothes, avatars, buildings, scripts), and so on. In the real world, do you pay the rent and afford things for yourself by filling out surveys, or getting a job? SL's not much different in that sense.
Reply:I've done surveys for some time now and I created a whole blog about free surveys. I posted tutorial videos, proof of payment (checks), legit survey sites, and contact info if you want more guidance or have questions.

  1. I make $20 for each 20 minute survey!

Guess what? This is exactly what big companies are paying for. They need to know what their average customer needs and wants. So large companies pay $1,000,000's of dollars every month to the average person. In return, the average person, like myself, answers some questions and gives them their opinion.
