I hear of online surveys all the time that will pay you. Then you go to the site and they want you to buy something first or sign up to do something or only want to pay you like .50 to take one. But I have heard of people that have gotten like 100's of dollars by doing surveys...where are the real ones?
Anyone know of any online surveys that actually pay you?
unfortunately there are an abundance of scams that turn people off from the whole process of paid surveys... however, there are still a few legit sites that exist, and based off personal experience... i've created a blog, flushed with video tutorials, that can help you make a few extra bucks online..

Reply:The 1st one on this list is great, I use it. Most surveys are in the $.50 range but some are like $6, if anyone says you'll get $100 each it's a scam. http://moneymakingsurveysites.blogspot.c...

Reply:This isn't a survey website, but you earn money for completing offers.
The money depends on the offers you complete. They send the money through PayPal and E-Gold in 24-48 hours.

Reply:I made a site listing the ones I use, only 5 of them, but they all have paid at least. There is one that I did not list, and can not figure out how to edit my yahoo page. This one is called Baker St. Solutions (type it in google and it's the first listing). The pay by Amazon gift cards. Only send me about 2 surveys a month that range from $5-$25. Not cash, but you can get some neat stuff on Amazon, and its better when it's free :) But check out my site, I listed how much they pay, when they pay, and how they pay. Good luck!

Reply:How do I say this without sounding like every other person on this website promoting their scam websites?....
I'll just be completely honest....
Most of the sites you will find online are scams.
There are even sites out there that do pay you and are still scams.
For example:
Cash Crate - I don't care what anyone says, this is a scam.
They pay you to sign up and give away your personal info, sign up for credit cards, and click on links.
They will pay you for this, but you will be flooded with junkmail and spam.
Avoid it and any other site like it.
Legitimate survey sites are run by market research companies. They have privacy policies, and do not sell your personal info or have you sign up for crap. You won't get paid much, but at least you know you won't get scammed. Real survey sites pay between 1-5 dollars per survey.
My three favorite sites:
Survey Savvy
Opinion Outpost
Harris Poll Online
If you are interested, I keep a running list of reputable survey sites on my webpage. (here is where I start to risk sounding like everyone else).
Yes I have a webpage with a list of survey sites. If you sign up through my webpage I may or may not get money for signing up a referral. If you don't want to sign up through my website, then google the companies yourself and sign up through google. Just be careful and don't give out your personal information to anyone without a privacy policy, and never give out your social security number.

Reply:Most are scams. Consider the perspective of companies: why would they pay you to take surveys? What knowledge, information, or experience do you possess that brings them value? Probably very little. Most survey sites pay a few pennies per survey and you must earn at least $75 before they pay you anything. The person who said he makes $1000 per week is not giving the full story or is full of BS.
If there were a lot of free money out there, everybody would be doing this and eventually, a new survey website would go to the companies saying the can get responses for less money. Competition and market forces will quickly drive down the payment for people answering surveys.
There is NO free money to be found. Anyone telling you otherwise has a vested interest in convincing you otherwise.
Notice how nobody ever provides details, but just a link to another website. Can anyone give complete details about the surveys paying $6.00? Such as, what types of questions were asked, how many questions, and how long it took to answer the survey. What percentage of surveys are worth $6.00? All these sites look like e-mail harvesting sites rather than offering significant earnings (paying minimum wage or better to ALL participants).
Reply:Hi
I recently joined an online survey company, they pay you for you opinion. The pay is great and i have actually be paid, so it cant be a scam. This is not a get rich quick thing, you actually have to do some work. Im using the extra money to pay off credit cards.

Reply:First of all, you need to distinguish between the claims of companies trying to sell you a directory of survey sites and reality. The simple fact is that you aren't going to be paid $100 just to give your opinion on a new design for a washing powder box and shouldn't consider survey work as a replacement for a full time job.
Most standard surveys last between 10 and 20 minutes and you can expect to earn little more than $1 to $2 a time. More specialist surveys or longer surveys may be in the region of $5 to $10 but for $100 you are looking at online or in person focus groups lasting 1 to 2 hours or very specialized eg needing the opinions of senior medical, legal or executive buyers .
A realistic monthly income without any niche work is only around $100-$200 a month, plus a few test products, and even this amount will require you to methodically work through a long list of sites, signing up for a few every day until you're on the books with a large number of companies.
If you are still interested, visit one of the free survey directories (I use http://www.whichsurveys.com) and work through the list for your country. You'll find a paragraph or two of information about each company, including payment terms, and pages of tips and advice to help you succeed.
Reply:There are several survey sites that are legit, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. I have done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete also. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. Pinecone is also great. You have to have an invitation to join though. They send one or two surveys a month. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don't check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto. Right now they are looking for males over 18 and families with teenagers email me if you would like an invite. Surveyspot has tons of really short surveys most of which you only get an entry into a drawing. However they do have many paid surveys also. You can just go to their site everyday and answer surveys you don't have to wait for them to be emailed to you. They do some previewing of tv commercials and tv shows. I have done a couple tv shows which involved watching an hour long program (45 minutes without commercials) and answering some questions about it - with payment of $20 so that was nice.
Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.
If you would like to give me a referral credit use the link in my profile for survey savvy and the other sites I use are listed there as well. Good Luck!
