Yes their are some legit survey sites. When looking for legit ones the first thing to remeber it "dont pay to join". With that said i make good money online, it doesnt make me rich but it pays my bills here are the sites that i use, i hope this helps. Oh and they are all free to join. Let me explain how these two sites work:
Dorm Check pays you US$0.01 for every post or replies you posted and US$0.012 if you post your discussion with pictures.
myLot earnings algorithm is discrete but it pays dependng on how many response you got from your discussion and also the quality of your post.myLot pays in US dollars too.
Overall i found that it is easier to earn at DormCheck than myLot. But you could try both.

So big companies pay $1,000,000's of dollars each month to the average person. In return, the average person, like me, answers some questions and gives them their opinion.
