Question Details: Are there any that WONT mail you the check to your house?

Like, can it just add to my paypal account or something??

Oh, and I need ones that are open to 14 year old girls...lol

What are some good online surveys that pay you?
Hey there..there are very few survey sites that pay you from paypal... the sites that I belong too, pay me by check! You can always take your check and cash it at the bank and put in into your paypal account! My daughter (13) makes some good extra money (enough for new clothing and other stuff) every month! I can share with you a link that I found from a previous answerer!
Reply:almost .none.. 98.99 % are scams according to the BBB, and you would have to be 18 or older anyway because the few "legit" ones require you to sign up and submit banking info, which inturn is a legally binding contract, in which case you have to be 18 to enter into a contract. ..i would avoid them all together unless you want millions of SPAM in your emails, alot of those companys get paid to collect your email and personal info and sell it to other companies.

TreasureTrooper and MyFaveFreebies. Treasure Trooper has a 75 cent paid survey and they have a bunch of offer where you basically sign up for websites for $1. I've made $50 in 2 days on treasuretrooper without a credit card. MyFaveFreebies isn't much of survey site but it has about 100-150 offers where you d a 5 minute survey on another site and then you get $1 the next day.

Are there any programs for surveys that allow you to auto-check no?

You can go there www.zaffiliate.com, choose the free one. After that you have all is free. Just join inside.

Reply:There are hundreds of survey sites available, but you have to avoid the ones that are scams. Don't waste your time on any sites that require you to sign up for "special offers" before completing surveys. Also you should NEVER have to provide credit card information or make any payments to sign up to complete surveys. A list of good survey companies (I have tried them all) is here: http://thriftyjinxy.blogspot.com/2008/06...
Reply:Yes, I personally make good extra money answering paid surveys. The sites I use pay out regularly by check or paypal and are completely free to join.

I usually will spend a couple of hours a day answering surveys and average about $45 a day = $950-$1400 a month. (the more time you’re able to spend the more money you’ll make)

The only real trick to making decent money is to sign up with a few reliable free sites. Never pay to join a survey site though---there are plenty of free sites available! :)

For a list of the most profitable free survey sites see:

http://topfree2joinsurveysites.blogspot....

Also if you were interested in a legitimate online job, there are some very good companies and directories I’ve been successful with. Depending on your skill set---you may be interested in anything from Data Entry work or transcription services---to virtual customer care---to writing articles and posting product reviews to webpage design. For some reliable companies that will not charge any start up or hidden fees see:

Reply:There are many good online paid survey sites which conduct market research surveys. Many of them give handsome rewards for your participation in online surveys. You have to join each of them individually and you get survey invitations by email. Rewards for surveys vary from $1 to $20 or more. Many pay for each survey you take or give you points which you can redeem for cash at a particular level. Some of them enter you into sweepstakes.

All are free to join. The so called paid surveys which charge money like $35 for you to join are only databases of such free to join companies, which you have to join individually. But only 30 to 40 out of those 500 or so survey sites are really worth joining.

I usually make around $10-$50 per month from each site.

I been with these sites for awhile and you don't earn a lot but its good to have extra cash on hand for emergencies, outings, etc.

It is the only absolutely free one I have found. They do not charge you to sign up, and they occasionally pay a bonus or enter you in a drawing.

Most of the other sites are flooded with people trying to make a fast buck, and the companies paying for the survey are getting a bad deal. Some are outright scams, or have such a high payout that you will never see the money.

Are there any companies or sites that pay cash to take surveys?

Are there any companies that will send you cash in the mail or a check of some sort for filling out surveys? I know of one out there (Simmons) but is there anyone else?

Are there any companies or sites that pay cash to take surveys?
Yes there a few sites that pay you by cash (check) or paypal once you meet the minimum payout requirement! I have been making money this way for over a year now! My secret is to join more than one site, delete your cookies after you completed an offer, use a 2nd email account just for the offers. More info can be found at the link below (found this site from a previous answerer!)
Reply:There are others. But never pay an up front fee.

I made over $2,000 on line last month. It took a lot of researching to find these sites and they are all free to join.

Please see my profile for more information and for proof that they pay.

Thanks.

This is a good site for getting paid for surveys. They have a daily survey that you get paid $0.75 to take. There are also many other surveys and offers that you can take and get paid.

This is a good site to earn some extra money. You get paid $5.00 to sign up. They have a daily $1.00 survey that you get paid to take. You also read e-mails. You get paid $0.01 - $0.10 per e-mail. They also have a lot of cash offers and other surveys to do to get paid for.

Basically, they pay you to do offers and complete surveys. I have been a member for about 8 months now, and I am always paid when I am supposed to be. It is very easy to do. It wont make you rich, but it is a great way to earn some extra cash. The check I am getting this month will be for over $300.

Anybody does paid surveys from your computer?

I was wondering if anybody have been trying to make money from paid surveys from home at your own free time.If yes,can you actually make money? And what are the good companies to work with?

Anybody does paid surveys from your computer?
There are several survey sites that are legit, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. The one I have had the most luck with is Lightspeed. They do not pay you cash you get points which can be converted into cash via pay pal. However, they send me the most surveys. And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. Pinecone is also great. You have to have an invitation to join though. They send one or two surveys a month. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don't check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto.

Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.

If you would like to give me a referral credit use the link in my profile for survey savvy and the other sites I use are listed there as well. Good Luck!
Reply:Taking surveys on you computer is a legitimate way to make money online. However you won't get rich doing it.

At most you could make an extra 100 to 300 per month

more if you don't mind spending every waking hour in front of you computer.

I've taken a lot of surveys and some of them are pretty arduous to get through. Some on the other hand are kind of fun.

Stay away from the ones that try to force you to complete an offer. They may look like they pay more but believe me you end up spending more than you make.

Below I have encluded a search link that will give you a few options for some legitimate survey portals.

Good Luck

Do paid surveys really work on the internet?

A lot of sites are seen on the internet which claim to pay huge amounts of money for doing surveys or simply reading E mails. Does it really work?

Do paid surveys really work on the internet?
Yes, there are legitimate survey groups on the Internet, but they do not need to advertise extensively. In my experience you will answer 2-3 unpaid surveys from a firm for every paid one. The best way to be part of such a survey is through magazines you may already subscribe to (Wired, PC Week, Conde Nast, etc.) or through local paid survey ads in the local papers (who also usually do online surveys or forward your info to people who do).

I have tried taking surveys online but never seem to get anywhere. Most surveys don't qualify in my area and I never actually seen anyone pay cash for them. They enter you into a drawing. I want cash not a drawing. Is there anywhere I can take surveys for free and make extra cash. They make it sound so easy.

Reply:No. Been there and done that. I've tried them all either. Either there are no surveys at all, or you get "credits" for taking them. It takes a whole lot of credits to equal any amount of money. Stay away from them. They have gotten my money too. They make it sound like there is a long long list of surveys to take and tons of money to earn. Its a joke.
Reply:Many people these days are making money online with paid surveys. I have found that these paid surveys are especially suitable for students. Since many students are living with a tight%26lt;!--budget the several hundred dollars that can be made monthly is a big help and the flexibility of taking paid surveys online is a big plus for students as well. To join these companies, you dont need a credit card and the best part is that you dont need to pay anything. Its FREE.

http://freepaidsurveys.awardspace.com/

These are three of the top reasons that paid surveys are so well suited to students. Students spend a good--%26gt;part of their time online already. Paid survey sites place a premium on users between the ages of 13-25 3. Most students can benefit from the extra money earned with paid surveys

Reply:How do I say this without sounding like every other person on this website promoting their scam websites?....

I'll just be completely honest....

Most of the sites you will find online are scams.

There are even sites out there that do pay you and are still scams.

For example:

Cash Crate - I don't care what anyone says, this is a scam.

They pay you to sign up and give away your personal info, sign up for credit cards, and click on links.

They will pay you for this, but you will be flooded with junkmail and spam, and they are making way more money off of each of your clicks than you are.

Avoid it and any other site like it.

Legitimate survey sites are run by market research companies. They have privacy policies, and do not sell your personal info or have you sign up for crap.

My three favorite sites:

Survey Savvy

Opinion Outpost

Harris Poll Online

If you are interested, I keep a running list of reputable survey sites on my webpage. (here is where I start to risk sounding like everyone else).

The truth is, there isn't a whole lot of money to be made taking surveys. No one is going to pay you to sit on your butt all day and take surveys.

The legitimate survey companies that exist either send you around one survey a week or less worth between $1-$5, or give you entries into sweepstakes for filling out surveys.

Any site that promises big money is a scam.... no exception.

If you are still interested, check out the site:

http://www.earnontheside.com/surveys.htm
Reply:You aren't going to find any good sites to do surveys. They're all scams. They charge you $30 to sign up and then they give you $1 worth of surveys and sell your email address.

If you want to make money online you're going to have to put hard work into it like most people do and sell something on ebay or with another online store. You should look into drop shipping and store templates.

Anyway gl and email me if you need any help :)
Reply:Hey, my friend told me about this site called Free Cash Cafe. You take surveys, and sign up for free stuff and get paid. At first I thought it was a scam, but then I really got my check in the mail so I know it's legit! I highly recommend you try this site. It's free, so you have nothing to lose.

copy and paste the link or just click it. glad to help =)

Reply:Try some online jobs, where you don’t have to pay upfront money. Online data entry is an excellent career to consider if you want to work at home. The equipment needed for this type of job is very minimal. You only need a computer with an Internet connection, a table and a comfortable chair. Data entry duties include the inputting of correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets into a home computer and then transmitting that data using the Internet. Work at home data entry personnel may also proofread text, edit information, and maintain databases. Data entry jobs usually offer flexible scheduling, allowing people to work when they want to and as little or as much as they want to. Some of the growing fields for work at home data entry include medical and legal transcription, medical coding and litigation coding.

http://internet--jobs.blogspot.com/

This type of work is becoming so popular that many fraudulent websites have emerged offering data entry jobs, which promise huge profits. The best way to find a legitimate data entry job is visit a reputable career website. You are more likely to find a genuine work at home job using these websites.

http://workathome-sa.blogspot.com/

There are several freelance websites that post freelance data entry jobs. Avoid responding to ads that do not list a company name or contact information. There are many reputable freelance work forums that can provide you with work at home data entry job listings. The forums are usually free to join and provide trustworthy information. Once you have found an advertisement for a work at home data entry job, check out the company by visiting their website. You can also do an online search using the company name and visit the Better Business Bureau website to see if they have been listed as a fraudulent company.

Am I allowed to publish copies of different e-mails that I have received that invite me to complete surveys?

I am looking at compiling an eBook that showcases best practice examples of e-mail invites I have received from an array of companies inviting me to complete online surveys.

From a copyright perspective, am I allowed to publish e-mails that I "own"?

Am I allowed to publish copies of different e-mails that I have received that invite me to complete surveys?
There may be circumstances under which that kind of publication is acceptable. You should consult a qualified Intellectual Property attorney to review the specific uses you have in mind, and do so before you publish.

I plan on doing surveys this summer as a job, while going to school, what are good survey sites that pay well?

Also how does one get paid from the surveys, also how do we pay taxes on the money we receive from the surveys?

Unlike most work at home jobs this is one is really legit and actually sends real checks to you at the end of the month. I have already made over $2500+ from this website and keep it mind that everything is free.I will love to answer any questions that you might have regarding this just contact me:

I have been using it for a couple of years. It is not a get rich quick scheme, but it does bring in steady extra cash just for reading e-mails and visiting websites.

They even pay you $10 just for signing up.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

You complete surveys that only take like 1 minute to 3 minutes at most.

You only have to make 10$ till they actually send the money to you.

They send the money on the 15th.

You only have to be 13 which helps because you don't even have to have a credit/debit card. They will send checks.

You don't even have to COMPLETE the survey, You just have to finish it to the point where it asks you to confirm your e-mail.

Even then, just make a fake email that you actually have to check, but just to confirm e-mails so you don't get spam in your real e-mail.

You can make as much as you want, basically just depends on how much time you have.

If you're still not sure about this, you can check the forum and ask questions. They have an active community that will be glad to help you out.

Why you should join:

It's super easy!

Surveys only take 1-3 minutes

You only have to be 13

The minimum pay out is 10$ [the minimum before they send the money]

They will also send checks.

Reply:Hi JW, I've done surveys for some time now and created a site that has everything I know about free online surveys. I have good survey sites that pay. You can also view the checks they have sent me. You can get paid by check, paypal, GC, etc. It depends on which site you join. The way you pay taxes is if you've made over $600, you need to fill out a w-9 and send the form the the survey company so they can submit the information to the IRS. Anyways, here is my site:

The fact is that there are so many survey sites in internet who actually charges a registration fee. I tell you what, run as far as you can, if they ask you money to join their survey site. Any legimate survey site, will not ask you money to join them They actually have to pay us if we join them%26lt;!--some people do not understand this, and they pay and later they suffer and get frustrated. So is there really any Survey site that pays us? The Answer is, Yes. I am personally getting paid by a Survey site and please find the below website and register yourself for free,

The best part is that, after you register and confirm the email sent, you will have a chance to win a car. The fun part is that they pay you money for playing games. And you get sometimes $50 for completing offers. Check out the offers area when you log in, you earn more. I personally get paid and you could trust them--%26gt;since they dont ask you any money, you could give a try, there is nothing to lose. I am sure you will be happy at the end of the week seeing money in your account. Have a great day ahead...!

Which survey sites actually pay you to take surveys?

I know there are a lot of gimmicks online, but I'm curious to know if there are some actual ligitimate sites that will pay you to do surveys. If there isn't, then what are some alternative to making actual cash online?

Which survey sites actually pay you to take surveys?
A lot of them are scams, so be really careful. A real market research survey company will never ever charge you a dime.

The sites that I use are:

SurveySavvy

Opinion Outpost

Harris Poll

Epolls

Global Test Markets

I've been paid by all of these and I know for a fact that they won't ever charge you anything or scam you.

I usually make around $10-$50 per month from each site.

Here is a great site with lots of reviews of sites including minimum age, average payout and which countries are eligible.

Reply:I use http://www.AWSurveys.com/HomeMain.cfm?Re... , each survey is worth at least $1 and once you fill out at least $75 worth of surveys they send it to you in the form of a check in the mail or credit you via paypal. This is the best one I've found so far. No credit card or bank account is required and paypal isn't even required.
Reply:I honestly do make good extra money answering paid surveys. I usually will spend about an hour or so a day answering surveys and average about $40 a day = $950-$1300 a month. The only trick to making decent money is to sign up with a few reliable free sites. Never pay to join a survey site though---there are plenty of free sites available! :)

Also if you were interested in a legitimate online job, there are some very good companies and directories I’ve been successful with. Depending on your skill set---there is a tremendous range in employment opportunities available—ranging from Data Entry and transcription services---to virtual customer care---to writing articles and posting product reviews as well as webpage design. Reply:I review some survey sites to make money that have worked for me at http://cashtutor.blogspot.com What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public's opinion. By doing this, you are able to earn money very easily for simply giving your opinion or trying out sample products. This is a great service that allows one to work from home, on their spare time, at their leisure, and still bring in a nice sum of money every month. People have made up to $1000 easily on this site by just working on it in their spare time. It is not going to replace a real job's salary, but it is a very nice bonus. There are also many features on these web site, such as contests and special surveys, from which you can redeem extra prizes that would be sent to you with your monthly cheque, such as iPods, Xbox 360s, PSPs, digital cameras, gift certificates, and much more.

Cheques are sent monthly, and usually arrive about a week or a week and a half into the next month. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER. Unlike other sites that try to scam people out of their money, these sites never requires you to pay them.

"If the site doesn't get paid from me, then why would they have this service going?" - The sites don't get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers let's say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.

Fraud is also a big deal on the Internet these days, and this site recognizes that. That is why they ask for ONLY three bits of information: Your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month. Your email address is only required to confirm that you have done the offers and surveys. Fortunately, no spam mail or junk mail is ever sent out by this site and your information is never shared with any other company.

Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. So far, I've listed only positives about this site, because I can't think of a single negative thing about it. Earn money in your spare time, at no cost to you...Easy as that! I give you my word that they pay.

I stumbled across them before. It says you get paid to take surveys online. Of course it gives you the shpeel about making thousands working at home. But I wonder if you can actually make a few bucks on the side. It seems like a scam since they want you to pay $35 right off the bat then you can "make money". Has anyone tried this and made money?

Reply:Yes...you can make money taking surveys. No, you can't make thousands. (And you shouldn't sign up with any site which requires you to pay first). I've been doing surveys for several years now, am signed up with more than 10 sites, and make about $20 a month (not counting commission for referrals). It only takes a few hours of my time each month, so that's fine with me. I've listed some of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following site:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).

As you're searching, here are some tips to avoid scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it.

Here are two other sites which are very helpful

http://www.surveypolice.com/

Reply:No, I have a common sense!
Reply:Yes. Waste of time. They only pay you 1-5 cents for each survey and you wont get a check until you reach $40. NOt worth it.

However I didnt pay anything for the site I went to, but its a load of crap and DONT EVER PAY ANYTHING OFF THE BAT! Its usually a scam.
Reply:I have tried site like greenfield online and I have taken surveys.

And they did acually get a check.

But Make sure its a legitmate survey. And not a place trying just to get personal information from you.

Buy a newspaper this Sunday. There are always tons of coupons there. There are several coupon companies that do mailings. One is Valpak. Also, the next time you're in a store that asks you to sign up for their mailing list, do it. Once your name is in the queue, you'll probably get more coupons than you can ever use.

Is there really a website where I can get paid to take surveys without a registration fee?

I'm a student and I need some extra cash. I'd really like to take paid surveys, but it seems that anywhere I go there's either a fee associated, or its just a bunch of "just do this and then we'll send you your paid survey" and it never happens.

Try SurveySavvy , it's free to sign up and you get paid to take surveys. I'm a member and it offers you a great opportunity to make a difference and earn money at the same time by taking research surveys online ~ I made $20.00 on my first survey and you also get paid for any survey your referrals take (the more referrals you get, the more money it's possible to make!!!)

Reply:There are several.... NPDOR, Greenfield Online, NFO Mysurvey, American Consumer Opinion, Zoom Panel.

I have been involved with these survey companies for about a year and it takes a long time to earn enough money to make any kind of difference.

Some companies give you points and when you earn enough points you can get a check sent to you i.e. each survey taken earns you 5-50 points... it takes 1,000 points to get $10... the lowest amount of money they bother to send.

One survey company sends me test cigarettes and then sends or calls with a survey- I get a $10 check a couple weeks after completing the survey.

Then there's the problem of when you get an invite (delivered through your email) you don't always qualify to take a survey as they are looking for a certain demographic.

Also, surveys that ask what deal you want to participate in and offer a list of products and services with checkboxes are phoney survey companies. A legitimate one will never ask you to complete an "offer"--they will only collect info- not try to get you to buy something. So be aware of those.

There is no quick or easy money to be had with survey companies. While they can be fun... they are not very lucrative.

The only reason I joined was because it gives me something to do at work.... lots of down time.

Now I'm on Answers all the time and I have a bunch of surveys that I have to take but can't get off here!

Good luck and have a great day!!!!

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

The article "Earning Money from Surveys" provide a short list of legitimate market research firms and contains explanations of what to look for when joining surveys (and weeding out the fraudulent ones)

Reply:Sorry, there are many schemes and scams out there that will have you filling out surveys for hours waiting to get to the end for a prize or cash....only to find out that in the end you have to buy something (which still doesn't guarantee you the prize or money.)
Reply:Yes there are. The problem is sorting out the reputable ones from the duds. The other snag is that very often you get paid in 'points' which are sometimes redeemable for cash but most often redeemable for selected goods and services. Also, it takes a while before they begin sending you many surveys - they need to know your reputability and reliability in answering surveys and they also need a quite detailed demographic profile from you initially.

If you are prepared to jump through their hoops, though, and fit the kind of audience they need to be answering their surveys, it can be a reasonable little side earner.

If I put details on here it would be advertising, but if you want to get in touch, I can give you more details.

Arent there free laptop giveaways with no obligation to purchase any products or fill out surveys?

Surely there must be some law where I could obtain a free laptop without buying products or doing a bunch of surveys ( which I do as fast as possible by just clicking the options without reading over the questions in fine detail.) Otherwise maybe I should offer free money with alot of strings so that I become rather rich because once people signed to the fine print it should make me immune to being sued or arrested.

Arent there free laptop giveaways with no obligation to purchase any products or fill out surveys?
Unless you win a raffle, there isn't anything free. There's always a catch.
Reply:Uh huh. Why would anyone give free laptops away? Even after filling out numerous surveys and questionaires, there are still things to prevent you from getting the "free" products. You are also opening up your mailbox to tons of spam. Get a job and purchase a laptop.

How safe is getting paid for taking online surveys??

I'm thinking about taking some online surveys for a part-time job. If its safe what website would you recommend?

How safe is getting paid for taking online surveys??
Survey's are not what you think. They require a lot of time, and you won't make what they claim you will. A couple of my friends did a six month test on several different survey sites like Survey Savvy, Harris Poll, Greenfield, Opinion Outpost, Survey Sport, Buzzback, NPD online, Lightspeed Panel, African American, Your2Cents, Project Payday, Inboxdollar, SnapDollars,Send Earnings, Creation, mycoke rewards, E-poll etc. Each did some the same sites and some different sites. Totaling at least 15 - 20 a piece. They're not what people say they are. Yes they are easy to do and you can receive money and prizes, compensating you for your time and effort. So they're not a scam. They're very time consuming though. When you add the time together, It's more time then you think! If you do decide to get into surveying, you better plan on spending 8 to 10 hours a day and make minimum wage. Sometimes you will hit good surveys that will pay you a lot, but what's required to get that is amount, the calculations of the time involved, and what you got paid in these "higher" paying surveys, still only averages out to minimum wage. It's a psychological thing because the time is spread out on these, so it doesn't seem to be as long as it really is. But we did the documentation's and figured the time vs money factor. We found that there was more time with little money to be made.

Here's how the survey's work. You spend approximately 10 to 15 minutes per each site to register and set up a profile to qualify for surveys. (this is non paid). To make anything really work, you need to register for at least 14 different ones, and make sure non are related to each other. Then you'll start receiving emails for surveys. Each survey you have to complete a 15 to 20 minute "pre-qualifying" survey, after you were already told you qualified based on your profile (you don't get paid for this) Then if you do qualify for a survey (which majority of the ones you don't qualify for. so you've wasted this 15 to 20 minutes and sometimes longer of non paid time.) Then if you don't qualify for one, they offer another and you have to do the same thing, and the same thing happens.) You waste approximately 45 minutes to an hour until you finally qualify for a survey. You take a 30 to 45 minute survey and make normally $1 to $3 a survey that they claim takes 15 minutes. Or instead of money, you earn "points" which later on can be exchanged for money or prizes. You have to earn enough points to make $10. That's not including the 15 minute pre qualifying survey, that you had to repeatedly do prior to land this survey. So you've now spent thirty minutes to an hour and made $3 or a few points. And the process between each of the survey sites is the same. So you can pretty much do the math. It averages out to be between $2 to $6 an hour. Sometimes you do come across a survey that will pay you $25 to $75 a survey, BUT there's A LOT more to it then what meets the eye on that as well.

Here's how the larger pay out survey's work. It could be a telephone survey or a Internet survey. You get the pre qualifying part of 10 to 20 minutes then if you qualify for it another 15 to 30 minute survey or a telephone survey about the product your about to try to see if you qualify to try it. Even though you took a 10 to 20 minute "pre qualifying survey" that said you qualify for. When you qualify for it, they send you a product out to try for 7 to 10 days and you do some daily documentation's on it. Depending on what the product is and the documentation's it's usually 5 - 15 minutes each daily documentation. (you got a free product to use around the house, this is a good part of it) after trying the product out you have to complete another survey that takes between 15 to 30 minutes to do. Now you do the calculations on that. You don't get as many of these types of survey's. They use the hype on getting paid $25 to $75 dollars for 15 minute surveys. NOTICE THE PLURAL IN "SURVEYS" What they don't tell you is that there is more then one survey involved in these. Now calculate from your pre-qualifying survey to the next pre-qualifying survey from the company carrying the product, to the trial and documentation's, to the last survey on these products. Then you receive a check four weeks to six weeks later. Do the math, that's less then minimum wage!

Another way to earn money on survey sites, is to refer people over to the sites. Some survey sites will give you a percentage on what the people do after they've reached a curtain amount of points or obtained their first check (refer back to the top of what's involved) You either get a lot of points for this, and only one time and when you reach a curtain amount of points you can exchange it for cash or prizes. (Cash amount is usually $30 before you can cash out- do the math on how many pre-qualifying surveys and the surveys you get, the time involved etc this is what it takes to earn the $30) Other survey sites you complete shorter surveys (5 to 15 minutes) and your entered into sweepstakes or lottery things for prizes or money. "Lottery"-one winner out of all the people doing survey's. If you don't win, you lose your points.

Okay, I'm starting to write a book. I can go on about all the other types of survey's available and what was

involved in that if you'd like me to elaborate on it.

I do survey's because it does help the marketing on different products and they do use the opinions of what things look like and what not. So I do it for the principle of the matter. Don't do it for money, because you won't make a sufficient amount of money with this.

If you'd like some links to various survey's, feel free to email me and I'll send them over to you. You really have to register for a lot of different sites. The paid survey sites offer the same survey's as the non paying ones. You get the same type of prizes and some pay a little more money. Again calculation time. Calculate how much you "paid" into these sites and the time you put into it, (refer back to how the survey's work) and it calculates back to minimum wage. If your doing this to make a living off of, you will be disappointed. But just for some extra cash, it's a good source and like I said, the companies do document the feedback and use it to better advertise their products and in some cases come out with new products based on the input of the surveyors. If you still want to do the survey's your more then welcome to email me and I'll send you the links.

If you want to work from home, (assuming this is why you want to do survey's) I suggest you start your own home based business. Not a home "job", they only pay minimum wage as well. I better not write a book on that right now on that as I' did on surveys LOL! There are so many different home based business to start up. Most home based business cost under $500 to start. They have the same income opportunity as traditional businesses without a lot of over head expenses and they are easier to run and manage.

Not knowing what you like to do, I'm not sure who to refer you over to and get information from. I can tell you what my husband and I have for the past 6 years and refer you over to my blog that I created on Home Based Businesses on my 360 page. Your more then welcome to go and take a look for some more ideas. We have our own home based business and it supports our entire family of 6 (we have 4 children ages 10, 6, 3 and 1)

We got involved in the Telecommunications industry, like I said a little over 6 years ago. We picked this one because the income opportunity is just incredible, as it is in most home based businesses. But in this, it seemed more practical. We partnered up with a 15 year old world wide company that offers services that people use every day and pay for anyway. Services like Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet, digital, video, VOIP, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone providers as well. Wireless Phones and services from Verizon, T-mobile, AT%26amp;T, Spring, Alltel, Nextell etc.

How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services? We save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, and offer them services that they don't have. Every single month these people pay these bills that they are going to every month anyway, we make a percentage. You get paid every single month for these services over and over again. This is a very profitable business to get involved in.

Reply:ALERT! If it's too good to be true, then it's probably a scam. Taking surveys is not a part time job, it may not be safe, and you may even end up paying them! That's what happened to me in researching for a blog. My early conclusion is stay away from online surveys!

You see, I got caught in a survey scam where I participated in two "so called" surveys and I ended up paying a couple of hundred dollars to the survey sites sponsors.

Here's how what happened with Vindale Research:

1. The GRANT RESOURCE scam: I clicked the "grant resource survey"... I always wanted to learn how to get a government grant, so I tried the free trial offer thinking I'll just cancel later. I paid $2.95 (mislead to thinking it was a one-time fee), but I ended up getting charged $49.50 a month!

2. The FORECLOSURE scam: I clicked a foreclosure site trial to learn how to make money on foreclosures. We'll I forgot (they bank on the lure that you'll forget), then I ended up getting charged $39.95 a month!

Yes, both companies were charging me outrageous monthly fees and I haven't earned a dime from the "so called survey companies." In fact, I had to sign an affadvit with the credit card company just to reverse the charges.

LESSON: Hide that credit card! Don't take any survey that requires acredit card number or you may end up paying monthly fees.

Here's what happened with A%26amp;W Surveys

I completed all the surveys and supposedly have $28 coming to me. Well, the cash payout is $75 and they only offer one new $1 survey a month. At that rate, I won't be able to cash out for another 3-4 years! I wrote them that they need to cash me out or I'll write the better business bureau. We'll see what happens.

LESSON LEARNED: Check the cash payout to see if they even have enough surveys for you to complete to cash out.

If you want to make money online, there are lots of other ways to make some honest extra cash, like taking advantage of viral marketing and getting cash back for your shopping. It's a fun way to earn some residual income, but it's not enough to support your need for a part-time job.

Want a little extra income? Try this instead:

Can you really get paid to fill out surveys online?

I see a lot of things saying "fill out surveys, and companies will pay you for that"...can that be legit? Are there any real sites that do this? And for the fake ones...what is their goal? To scam you?

Can you really get paid to fill out surveys online?
They are almost 100% scams. They run them for a variety of reasons from "phising" to just making sure that your email address is active or for selling your data to others so that they can fill up your inbox with more spam. ANY email that offers to pay you almost certainly falls into that category. Just delete them because they are worthless. I hate what the internet has become in regards to spam and scams.
