I want to do some telephone surveys for independant research, but when I present my results, how can it be so that people know I actually did the research and didn't just make up the results? Any help would be appreciated!
How to authenticate telephone surveys?
Keep a paper trail and have every survey documented either physically on paper or in an electronic medium. Most of the major surveys have a demographics part to them. Include that in your results.
If you are doing it for personal knowledge and just sharing the results, there will always be nay-sayers. For example, a Realtor surveying home-owners and then utilizing and publishing the results.
If you are doing it to accompany a major proposal, you may want to job it out... even just to a local student group or non profit group. The cost may be minimal and worth it.
