Do online surveys that claim to pay, really work?

I saw an ad for Express Paid Surveys. Are these for real? Can you really earn money? Would my computer get "sick" with "bugs" or viruses? Is it worth it?

I have never met anyone who made money doing surveys... I do see that someone else here says that they do... all I can say is 'beware'. There are more scams out there on the 'survey thing' than legit... more oft than not you will spend a great deal of time either waiting to receive a survey or get 30 minutes into one and find out you don't qualify for payment but "thanks for your input anyway'...

Reply:I dont know about that site. But I use a few good sites that pay me pretty well. There's al ink in my profile to them. I make about 900 bucks a month with those.
Reply:It's a scam. Leave it alone, unless you want a lot of spam in your mail box.
Reply:Well, if you want to get payed $1-5, and sometimes an occassionall $10 per survey, there are a lot of sites where you can do that. Even if you sign up for a whole bunch of these places though, you won't be able to qualify for enough to make an income or anywhere close. Higher payed surveys do exist, but are rare (I've been offered one $30 and one $35 survey in the 5 years I've been taking surveys--neither of which I qualified for. Never been offered more than that, and I am signed up with over 10 sites).





DO NOT pay to take surveys--generally, at best, these sites only refer you to free sites you could sign up for without paying anything (*that was from and article in Parents magazine--I've always had the oppinion that you don't pay to do a job for someone, so I have no personal experience with these).

Reply:They're all scams! You can usually earn points, which never convert to dollars. They definitely overload your inbox with offers from their affiliates and yes, your computer could...probably will pick up a virus or a few viruses! NOT WORTH IT!!! If you're looking for extra income sources, make contact...I've got a few suggestions. There are two LEGITIMATE companies that I have had positive experiences with. Would love to share info!
